Well it looks like I can still do it. I see my last post was 1-1-12. Now that is a long time. I am sure a lot has happened since then. But I do not see many visitors so I guess thats not to important.
I will probably be repeating myself but I started this for the great grandkids to read when they get to my age (80) so they have some idea what life was like in the late 1900's and early 2000,s. I think frequently of my grandfathers, neither of whom did I know and would really like to read something about them or their lives.
I hope that one of my kids will find some way to preserve this as we have know idea what will be in use in 50. 60, or 70 years from now to replace the internet.
Anyway I am completely retired from working now. I drove different vehicles until I was 75 yr old. I was having a little problem with my last job driving mini vans because I was transporting mostly older people in wheelchairs and the chairs had to be tied down which required me to get down on my hands and knees in the back of the mini van
It became a little hard to do so I gave it up. After 3 years I had to get my license renewed and due to my diabetes, heart problems and the fact that I used a breathing machine at night they wanted me to get letters from all the dr. saying that everything was under control. To much trouble for something I probably was not going to use anymore so I let the CDL go back and got a regular license. Nuff said for that
Right now I am spending some time going to a nursing home and a day care for adults one day a week doing music for the folks. I have a BOSE unit and with my IPOD I can put out some pretty good music. I have almost 4000 songs mostly from the 40, 50 and sixties which is their time frame I enjoy doing this and hope I can do more. I go to St. Malachy school on Monday and read to 3rd graders for 30 min.. I am also teaching them a sond, Bill Gaithers "YOU ARE A PROMISE"
Probably enough for now. I am really going to try harder on this project. SYLA GGP
p.s. I will not be spellchecking Itis what itis
